Vedat Yelkenci

Vedat, carrying forward the legacy of his grandfather – a prominent shipowner and co-founder of Is Bank, Turkey's largest private financial institution – was educated in the UK and began his career in his family’s maritime enterprises in London before forging a dynamic path across telecom, media, real estate, and insurance. In telecom, he led groundbreaking projects in Turkey, from establishing Comsat Digital Services Inc. to launching the country's first Build-Operate-Transfer telecom venture. He shook up the media scene, partnering with CNN, Viacom and Rupert Murdoch to introduce private TV and radio stations, including MTV Turkey – setting new standards in broadcasting.

After successful exits, Vedat turned his attention to prime London real estate, collaborating with visionary landlords on innovative developments. Since 2015, he’s worked with insurers and reinsurers to place facilities and secure capacity for niche insurance products, including indemnity, building completion, surety bonds, and extended car warranties – bringing fresh thinking to outdated sectors. Now, as co-founder of Metutela, he’s redefining insurance entirely – delivering real-time, tech-driven solutions that price risk live and empower customers, proving his ongoing mission to challenge convention and build what’s next.
